Clarification on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Support Portal Access
Some colleagues may have received an automated email prompting them to activate 2FA for their Freshworks account. This message was issued in error and does not apply to Council colleagues who access the Support Portal: EMSS, Finance & HR via Single Sign-On (SSO).
If you log in using your Council credentials through SSO, no further action is required. The SSO configuration already meets our organisational security standards, and 2FA does not need to be enabled separately.
Why the Email Was Sent:
A configuration change was applied to strengthen security for any users accessing the system outside of SSO. This change triggered an automated email from Freshworks, which was not intended for Council colleagues.
What You Need to Do:
- If you access the Support Portal using SSO (Council login), you can safely ignore the email.
- No changes to your login process are required.
